1824 '5 Million Strong'
The 1824 campaign was part of a joint initiative by the Department of Constitutional Affairs and the Mayor of London. Its aim was to raise awareness amongst 18-24 year olds of the forthcoming local elections and of the importance of registering to vote. Key to the campaign was a music video that featured a variety of young, unsigned London acts performing the track “5 Million Strong”, written especially for the campaign to help spread the message to the target audience. The 1824 Campaign saw the amount of eligible voters between the ages of 18-24 grow from 8% to 29%. Writers / Art Directors: Simon Impey / Jon Daniel Director: Simon Impey DOP: Damian Daniel
